UREA PLANT RECONSTRUCTION
G5 Group AG Supports Major Modernization of Tejen Carbamide Plant in Turkmenistan
G5 Group AG is proud to support the ongoing modernisation of the Tejen Carbamide Plant, one of Turkmenistan’s pioneering urea production facilities. Commissioned in 2005 in the city of Tejen, the plant was originally designed to produce 350,000 tons of urea per year, playing a crucial role in the nation’s chemical industry.
In 2023, the State Concern Turkmenhimiya launched an international tender to renovate and modernize the facility. The contract was awarded to Economic Society Turkmen Enjam, G5 Group AG’s long-term partner in Turkmenistan, which was appointed as the General Contractor for the project.
The modernisation aims to restore the plant’s full design capacity through comprehensive inspection, maintenance, and repair works.
Since the end of 2023, G5 Group AG has been providing engineering, procurement, and logistical support to Turkmen Enjam, ensuring the efficient implementation of this large-scale initiative.
G5’s responsibilities include coordinating technical services, supplying advanced equipment, and supervising installation and commissioning activities.
As part of the project, G5 has facilitated the delivery of state-of-the-art systems and components from globally recognized manufacturers, including Thyssenkrupp UHDE, Stamicarbon, Emerson, Mitsubishi, Yokogawa, KSB,
and others.
A key logistical milestone was the transportation of a 140-ton steam boiler supplied by Babcock & Wilcox (USA),
one of the region’s most significant industrial cargo deliveries in recent years.
The Tejen Carbamide Plant modernization project is progressing on schedule and is expected to be fully commissioned next year, marking a significant advancement in Turkmenistan’s industrial modernization and production efficiency.
