In March 2024, the second expansion phase of the Lebap cement plant in the Köytendag district of Lebap Province was officially opened. With an additional annual capacity of 1 million tons, including sulfate-resistant cement, the plant meets international standards.
Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, it supports Turkmenistan's goal of industrialization and the promotion of competitive construction products.
The urea plant in Tejen, originally commissioned in 2005, has an annual production capacity of 350,000 tons. The planned reconstruction aims to modernize the facility and increase its efficiency to meet the growing demand for fertilizers at home and abroad. The government of Turkmenistan is considering involving foreign investors to finance and implement the project.

In Essenguly, a coastal town on the Caspian Sea, a modern seawater desalination plant was built to provide drinking water for over 20,000 residents. The plant includes a pumping station with two pumping groups and utilizes advanced technologies for efficient water treatment.
A state-of-the-art greenhouse facility has been developed in the Mary region to diversify agricultural production and improve the supply of fresh vegetables. The facility utilizes modern controlled-environment technologies to produce high-quality produce year-round, contributing to food security and economic development in the region.

Local Treatment Facilities
Local wastewater treatment plants are large-scale complexes consisting of several large-scale structures. These plants are used to treat wastewater from industrial enterprises, domestic facilities, and private homes.
These facilities are built outside of cities and towns.
The areas designated for the operation of such complexes are unsuitable for residential and recreational use. The facilities are maintained by specially trained personnel, and monitoring
is carried out using automated equipment.
Biological Treatment Structures
Biological wastewater treatment plants are tanks or structures for treating wastewater with bacteria. Like aeration tanks, they are integrated into the central wastewater system or the local treatment complex.
In addition to bacteria, biofilters contain materials that trap coarse contaminants.
